Myrtle Beach Marathon canceled - 843 REALTOR - $250 Marathon credit
For the 1st time in years Myrtle Beach had two or three inches of snow that stuck to the ground. I do see many racers are upset with the decision to cancel the event. Many out of State runners spent good money to participate in the Myrtle Beach Marathon. These runners wake up every morning before I even think about getting out of bed to participate in the morning running ritual. These runners are a dedicate group of sports enthusiat who participate daily in this sports regardless of the weather conditions. If runners were allowed to come up with a reason not to run every day they would never run. Heck it’s too early, dark, cold, hot, wet, I worked late yesterday, its Sunday and the list of legitimate excuses could go on.
I am sure many Organizers of the event are equally as dedicated in making the Marathon special every year and try to showcase the best of Myrtle Beach and all we have to offer. It will be interesting to see how Myrtle Beach Marathon Organizers try to resolve what seems to be legitimate complaints by the runners.
